Back at home - and unpacking

stavanger
we're now in Stavanger for a little bit of shopping, the scouts have found burger king, we've found a nice local cafe.
Monday
today, the Scots have all been to the international school, where we have made use of the shower facilities, then we will be walking back to madla scouts and catch the bus into town for a little shopping.
after that the madla.scouts have a boat trip organised for us out to a private island, and back again, if time permits some photos later.

back at madla
we arrived back at madla scout hut, had sausage Stew, and the scouts are now playing football on the Astroturf pitch behind the scout hut.
made it to the theme park
luckily it's only a small theme park, and it didn't take too long to explore it and go on the rides.
we are currently on the bus on the way back to Stavanger, here are a few photos, last one taken just now on the bus
it's Sunday
and they means less busses, do we are in sandness waiting for the connection bus, in about 30 minutes, the scouts have been given a bit of time for a look round although all the shops are closed, except mc Donalds

had breakfast, cleared up, caught a bus to Stavanger, now on a bus to sandness and from there onto kongepark.

at the scout hut
now at madla scout hut, had pasta, and I'm just about to get clean, the scouts are sink playing football outside. more later.
in the tower
just left the campsite the scouts have all been to the top, and we are now sat at the base having a spot of lunch. the plan at the moment is to catch the bus soon into Stavanger, as we have camp neckers on we can use Stavanger city public transport free of charge, possibly some photos shortly.
Saturday morning
last day at the campsite before we move on to madla scout hut later this afternoon.
at the moment, as we are not in a rush we are having a relaxed steady takedown of the camp and clear up.
later we will be catching the bus to Stavanger centre, possibly visiting the oil museum, with various interactive stuff such as oil rig evacuation systems for them to have a go on,.then on to. madla scout hut anytime after 4pm.

mini (sort of) update
the scouts have been on various activities round the site, things are begining to wind down (or up) here in preparation for the closing ceremony tonight.
of you haven't seen any pictures of the camp area, we are just on the outer edges of stavanger, with many parts of the camp encroaching well and truly into the housing areas the main stage with its large loud speaker stacks is no more than a few metres away from housing. art the moment some of the scouts are in the tower, and I'm on my way up as well. photo of the stage and nearby houses coming soon.

loads of stuff but not much time
I've got loads of stuff to put up on here but not enough time to do so.
in brief..
both patrols came back from the patrol hike ok, and happy.
most of us went swimming, except those scouts who went to a shop near the camp site and failed to return to camp on time, they went to the beach area near the madla swords with Dave instead.
its now 12:19am and I'm off to bed, for some sleep, tommorow it's the last full day at stavanger2013,.before we move on off to attend the last few days at madla scout hq.

just managed to get a quick trip to the local swimming pool in Stavanger, most of the scouts came except for a few who had gone to the camp shop..... all back after the hike ok, more later.

at the moment
the Scouts are all out on the patrol hike, being monitored by the Norwegian rover scouts.
As part of the hike the scouts are out walking navigating using a map and compass, then sleeping out under a tarpaulin, while carrying all their kit including sleeping bags, sleeping mat, food, stove etc.
in case of emergency or any problem the rover scouts can't deal with each patrol has been issued with a mobile phone with contact numbers for the camp, Dave and my self, so far all appears to be ok.
the Scouts are due back sometime tomorrow afternoon., more later/tommorow.
Wednesday
Currently the Scouts are all out on the patrol hike, some photos from earlier today and more information later.
